Chiara Masiero Sgrinzatto is an artist and researcher based in Venice, working internationally.
With a background in architecture and visual arts, her work is focused on spatial representation of environments through immersive hand-made drawing, swinging between analog and digital worlds.
Before developing her current artistic practice, she co-founded Officine Panottiche, a company that specialized in 360-degree imaging and video. In 2018, she transitioned from capturing environments to drawing them by hand, where drawing becomes a spatial way to explore places. Her collaboration with Fallani Venezia screen-printing studio has played an important role in expanding her interests in printmaking and translating her artworks into graphic and tactile forms.
The dialogue between handmade drawing, printed matter, spatial objects, and digital media has become central to her practice: her work includes hand-drawn 360-degree panoramas, immersive animations and visual systems, interactive spatial paper devices, virtual experiences and installations. In addition to her artistic practice, Chiara writes, teaches, gives talks, develops technical workflows, and presents her work through exhibitions, conferences and publications.
She is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Digital Media Arts at the Universidaade do Algarve and Universidade Aberta and is a research collaborator at CIAC (Research Center in Arts and Communication).
