Aveiro is called “the Venice of Portugal”. The city of Aveiro and the architecture have their own identity, buildings are not located right in front of the waterfronts, but they always have a street in front of them.

Venice and Aveiro are both located on a lagoon, the traditional boats and the way they row them is very similar, standing on the back of the boat. I had an interesting conversation about rowing with a guy for group tours.

The matching view fro the 360º panoramas is located at the Mercado do Peixe, that reminded me of the end of Via Garibaldi, where the Rio de S. Ana begins.

In both sites sketching was difficult due to the temporary structures used for touristic purposes.
